AI Hope Challenge: Official Rules
Season 1. Last updated October 10, 2026.
No purchase, payment or donation is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or donation does not improve your chances of winning. This is a contest of skill; chance plays no part in selecting the winners.
1. Sponsor
The AI Hope Challenge (the “Challenge”) is run by AiHope.com (the “Sponsor”). Questions about the Challenge can be sent through the contact form.
2. Entry period
Entries are accepted from 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on October 15, 2026 until 11:59 p.m. ET on December 15, 2026 (the “Entry Period”). Entries received outside the Entry Period are not eligible.
3. Eligibility
The Challenge is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority where they live, if higher) at the time of entry. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Sponsor are not eligible. The Challenge is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and is not open to residents of any country, state or province where it would require registration, bonding or the payment of fees by the Sponsor, including the Province of Quebec, Canada. Residents of countries subject to sanctions that would prevent payment of a prize are not eligible.
4. How to enter
Complete the entry form on the Challenge page in one of three categories: Work story (written, up to 600 words), Short video (up to 2 minutes, hosted on YouTube) or Build (a prompt pack, template, automation or tool, with a description). Limit: one entry per person per category. Entries must be in English, must be the entrant's original work, and must not contain confidential information, personal data about other people without their permission, or content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or infringing.
5. Judging
Eligible entries are judged by the Sponsor's editorial team using these criteria: real-world impact (40%), originality and honesty (25%), clarity (20%) and practicality (15%). The judges select a grand prize winner, one winner in each of the two remaining categories, and up to five finalists for a People's Choice vote held on the AI Hope website. In the event of a tie, the entry with the higher impact score wins. The judges' decisions are final.
6. Prizes
- Grand prize (1): US $250
- Category winner (2): US $100 each
- People's choice (1): US $50
Total prize value: US $500. Prizes are paid by digital payment within 30 days of winner verification. If a sponsor adds to the prize pool, the additional prizes will be announced on the Challenge page. Winners are responsible for any taxes. Prizes cannot be transferred. Winners may be asked to confirm eligibility and accept these rules in writing; a winner who does not respond within 14 days may be replaced by the next-highest-scoring entry.
7. Ownership and license
You keep all rights in your entry. By entering, you grant the Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce and share your entry, with credit to you, on AiHope.com, in the AI Hope newsletter and on its social channels, in connection with the Challenge and AI Hope's educational mission. You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this license, including permission from anyone who appears in or contributed to your entry.
8. Privacy
Information you submit is used to administer the Challenge and contact you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Winners' names, countries and entries may be published unless prohibited by law. Newsletter sign-up is optional.
9. General conditions
The Sponsor may disqualify entries that break these rules or that it reasonably believes were submitted fraudulently, and may modify, suspend or cancel the Challenge if it cannot run as planned for reasons beyond its control, in which case it will judge eligible entries received before that point. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries lost because of technical problems. By entering, you agree to release the Sponsor from liability arising from participation, except where such a release is not permitted by law.
10. Winners
Winners will be announced on the Challenge page by January 15, 2027.
